Over the last seven years, Jessika aka Messica has played a vital role in introducing a whole new wave of her own brand and unique abilities to the music industry in the north. Jessika, began her career in 2001 after completing a DJ’ing course at the Manchester School of Sound & Recording. Even without her own equipment, she relentlessly practiced and refined her mastery of the decks and quickly became well-known for her diverse sounds, skills and ability to turn her hand to many genres including electro, house, DnB and Breaks. It wasn’t long before this talent was picked up on by local promoters in her home town of Hull, UK and Jessika became a regular on the DJ roster of many of the city’s busiest nightclubs. Not content with just playing for other people, she used her experience of the club scene, stemming from hardcore events in the mid-nineties such as Helter-Skelter, Dizstruxshon and Slammin’ Vinyl, to establish the successful events, Tranceform & Twisted Addiction, along with other local DJs. These events grew in size and popularity and it wasn’t long before they secured Sheffield’s “The Adelphi” club for their next events. Later in 2005-2007 Jessika was head of promotions at Hulls notorious Trance night Euphoria Hull and funky House night Pure House both at the Rhythm Room. This funky, sassy diva has got something special to offer and this has been acknowledged by other promoters across the country and even the WORLD. From Newcastle, Leeds and Hastings to Egypt, Lanzarote and China, Jessika has wowed the crowds by making each set more than perfect, she makes them her own. Jessika isn’t shy about promoting a project that she loves, and was the founder member of The Bad Girlz, a group of local female DJs and performers who had secured regular spots around the country, sadly after four years of success the group split for unforsaken reasons. She has played alongside some of the industry’s finest including:- Riley & Durrant, Anne Savage, Lisa Lashes, Adam Sheridan, Full Intention, Liquid People, Nick Rafferty, Paul Kershaw, Jon Askew, Tylor-Leigh and Amber D to name a few. n addition to performing, Messica has completed a two year Access to Music course, “Creating Music Through Technology”. Now as 2008 comes to a close her plans to expand her growing musical empire are quickly becoming a reality. Jessika's beginning a whole new page in her career as part of the Djing duo, Adam and Eve.
