“Its great to know that you are not along in a mainly male industry and I hope that Wombeatz will encourage women of all ages with an interest in music to try out DJing, VJing and producing” --Missperception
I’ve battle with males to get on equipment in the past, and believe Wombeatz offers positive promotion to females. --Miss Plunkett
I wanted to be involved in Wombeatz, not so much because it was all female, but more to make contacts outside of Bradford, being part of Wombeatz has already opened me up to new things. --Martha Cecilia
I thought Wombeatz was a good platform to network with other like minded people, you can achieve more when working with others. I hope to do things I wouldn’t have done on my own through affiliation with Wombeatz --Clare Large
Wombeatz is a not-for-profit website which is free to join.
The idea behind Wombeatz is to showcase and support up and coming female artists, with the aim is to increase the number of women in music technology as the industry is currently lacking female representation.
We currently do this through the websites and showcasing events. As well as this we hope to get more women and girls involved in music technology, though courses and workshops in a supportive and nurturing environment where gender isn’t an issue.
