Within a 6 months of picking up the viola she had passed the Grade 5 exam with merit on Viola and Distinction on Violin. However after this point the Violin was left on one side and as the Viola took centre stage.

Lucy became a Violist for the Lancashire Students Symphony Orchestra (LSSO) as well as for her local youth orchestra.Unfortunately at age 16 she left home and didn't take the viola with her and it was a long time before they were reunited. However she does have her viola back now and plays it often, hoping that she can take the grade 8 exam that that should have been taken years ago! Although not that interested in Classical music anymore, she wouldn't turn it down for the opportunity to play.

In 2004 Lucy discovered that which would turn out to be her new passion - the turntables!

She first learned how to mix with Hard house but that was relatively short-lived. Lucy gave mixing a rest for a while until one morning in front of the tent of the Manchester based soundsystem, Stumblefunk, she heard some filthy sounds that kickstarted the beggining of her ever-growing breakbeat Vinyl collection.

Six months down the line Lucy started to become interested in other types of dance music... especially electro, click and tech house.
Now she's the proud owner of an extremely varied vinyl collection, as she doesn't like to be bound to any particular genre. When asked to describe her music Lucy chose three words

"Bass.filth.imagination."

Lucy is a resident of Joy.pad which after a long break has started up again at the newly listed venue of Pickwicks. The night is bi-weekly powered by the r:evolve soundsystem which also has its own night at the same venue.

Lucy is also responsible for the instigation of many Freeparties in Bradford, and that couldn't happen without the soundsystems (r:evolve, anonymous sounds, Psybase, GashCollective, Preston Madhatters, Quake and anyone I've missed...) and all the people that turn up! So many thanks to everyone...
