At 21 years old, GRACIOUS–B is one of the UK’s, if not the Worlds Top Female Beatboxers. Having been interested in performance from a young age, becoming a member of the National Youth Theatre in 2006 and studying Theatre at Leeds University, the stage has gradually become a comfortable place for GRACIOUS-B. Although she has been making silly noises with her mouth for as long as she can remember she was formally introduced to beatboxing in 2006, mentored by the widely respected and current female beatbox world champion Bellatrix. GRACIOUS-B found the recreation of musical and electronic sounds particularly natural to her and by 2007 her rhythm, timing and technical ability had improved considerably and she was guest appearing on stages across the UK alongside her mentor Bellatrix.

In 2007 GRACIOUS-B performed a stint with the prestigious female vocal group 'The Boxettes' including a feature in the Queen Elizabeth Hall of London's Southbank Centre. Also at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Gracious-B collaborated with world famous beatboxer Shlomo, Vula (from the Basement Jaxx) and Jazz-soul diva Natalie Williams as a part of the Music Through Unconventional Means series in '08.

Throughout 2009 GRACIOUS-B has been working on her solo set and building her reputation across the underground British music scene. Ending the year having torn up Jungle Jam in Leeds with the Wombeatz collective and beginning the New Year with an exclusive production of the 'The Lost Voice' merging theatre and beatboxing at the Southbank Centre, London, GRACIOUS-B has had a great start for 2010. As well as following ambitions to be a playwright, she is currently working on ways to push her creativity to new limits; mastering the skill of playing the guitar and beatboxing together as well as exploring layering and building soundtracks or songs on stage through a Loop Station. She has also gained experience in delivering beatboxing workshops, teaching the basics of the art form to both adults and children. With performance and workshops bookings flowing in nicely, she is ready for what the year will throw at her; shows, fun and a lot of hard work!
